 Occasionally I wish to paint something that is more than real.  So it was with this white blouse which was much too big on this tiny gymnast model.  I saw a lovely painting by 19th Century French painter Emile Levy that showed a subtle mastery of carefully modulated values in cloth.  Ever since I've found great pleasure in painting drapery that is slightly idealized.  This painting was an indulgence..
